Janice Lynn Badura, 74, a resident of Cowarts passed away Friday, January 15, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Johnny Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.

Ms. Badura was born on September 20, 1941 in Lansing, MI and lived there the early part of her life. She resided in Longwood, FL prior to moving to the Ashford and Cowarts areas where she has lived for the past 10 years. She was a homemaker and loved to tell stories to her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Ms. Badura was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Phyllis Colagross, and her son, Jonathan Andrew Badura.

Survivors include her son, Joseph Albert Badura; her daughters, Jeanetta (Johnny) Simmons, and Julie (Brian) Croff; grandchildren, Heather Nelson, Danielle Foster, Jason Simmons, Rachael Deen, Nicole Robison, and Janice Simmons; 6 great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert Joseph (Linda) Colagross; sisters, Dorothy Jean (Fred) Raby and Antionette (Gary) Neubauer; several nieces and nephews as well as many friends.
