Ms. Janie M. Fisher of Geneva, Alabama passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2015. She was 81.
Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Friday, February 6, 2015, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Geneva with the family delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday beginning at 2:00 p.m. and continue until service time.
Ms. Fisher was born August 29, 1933, in Chipley, Florida to the late John Henry and Edna Mae Elizabeth Vinson Woodham. She believed in her country and was very patriotic. Ms. Fisher enjoyed painting and frying chicken for her family. She was a very loving and devoted mother, grandmother and sister.
In addition to her parents, a sister, Nell Taylor and a nephew, Murray Willis, preceded her in death.
Survivors include six children: Rhonda Fisher, Bruce E. Larsen, both of New Port Richey, FL, Ingrid T. Bland of Geneva, AL, Ann (Jeff) Frederick of Mt. Carroll, IL, Beth (Jim) Deneweth and Albert Zierer, III, both of New Port Richey, FL; one sister, Janice Willis of Spring Hill, FL; one brother-in-law, Bee Taylor; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; other extended family and friends.
