Janie was pre-deceased by Wayne Johnson, her loving husband of 59 years, and by her brother Elmer Moore and sister Gloria Pittman. She is survived by her sons Don (Laura) Johnson and Michael Johnson, grandchildren Noah, Stuart, Marlee, and Kevin, brother Jerry Moore, and sisters Peggy (Rex) Moss, Nancy (Claude) Jarman, Linda (Ronnie) Holley, and Susan (Ronnie) Burke.
Janie was born in Early County Georgia on May 24th, 1937. She was the oldest of 8 children born and raised by Elmer and Flossie Moore. Janie grew up mostly on the farm and did hard work from an early age. She accepted the Lord at 10 years of age at the Bethel Church in Ft. Gaines, GA and lived her life as a Christian. Janie married the love of her life, Wayne Johnson in 1953 and raised 2 loving sons. When her boys were young, she earned qualification as a Cub Scout Den Mother and formed a den to help raise the neighborhood! She lovingly supported her husband as they moved for his career in heavy construction. Janie also loved camping, boating, fishing, and scorekeeping at the neighborhood ball park.
