Jason Lawrence Ward, 36, of Dothan passed away Saturday, October 13, 2012 at his residence.
Funeral services will be 11 am Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Quincey officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 10-11 am prior to the service at the funeral home.
Jason was born July 26, 1976 in Houston County and lived most of his life in Dale County. He graduated from Dale County High School in 1994 and was employed with Sears for several years and with PEMCO Air services as a sheet metal mechanic. He met and married Lisa Craft in 2010. Jason was very loving and caring, he enjoyed camping with friends and family and was an avid Alabama Football and Atlanta Braves fan. He was a member of Dothan Elks Lodge #1887 and was active with Southeast Alabama Community Theater.
Survivors include his wife Lisa Craft Ward and their loving dog "Bama"; parents Bill and Lou Ward; a brother Billy (Diana) Ward; aunts and uncles, Mary Hibbs, Barbara Bass, Henry (Virginia) Ward, Lomax Glover, Drew (Penny) Givens, and Al (Corine) Givens; nieces and nephews, Brandon Ward, Athena Ward, and Logan Hall; several cousins and special friends also survive.
Serving as pallbearers will be Drew Givens, Gabe Givens, Ben Givens, Austin Hill, Justin Givens, and Davy Dozier.
