COWARTS. . .Jasper Allen “Jack” Deal, a resident of Cowarts, Alabama, died Thursday morning, November 17, 2022, at his home. He was 83

Memorial services will be held at a later date. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Deal was born and reared in Houston County, son of the late Willie Schoffnor Deal and Johnnie Mae Doswell Deal. He moved to Cowarts in 1996. Mr. Deal served his country in the U. S. Navy in the late 1950’s. He was retired from the Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant as a Supervisor. In earlier years, Mr. Deal was employed by Hayes Aircraft at Napier Field. He was a member of the Masonic Order. Mr. Deal was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Phyllis Lisenby Deal; three daughters, Cricket Lee (Dennis), Dothan; Karen Hand (Doug), Kinsey; and Paula Mathis (Wylie), Bertha Community; three sons, Jimmy Deal (Carol), Dothan; Randy Watson (Linda), Ozark; and David Watson (Karen), Ozark; two sisters, Sarah Womack, Cottonwood; and Betty Carpenter (David), Wicksburg; four brothers, Billy Deal, Malvern; Jessie Deal (Martha), Pinckard; Tony Deal (Nona), Hartford; and Donald Deal (Darla), McMinnville, TN; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
