ASHFORD. . .Jean Wiggins Aman, a resident of Ashford, died late Thursday afternoon, November 23, 2023, at her home. She was 87.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, November 27, 2023, in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, near Ashford, with Reverend Greg Aman officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:30 until 11:00 A.M. Monday in the sanctuary of the Antioch Baptist Church. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to SouthernCare Hospice, 2576 Montgomery Highway, Suite 2, Dothan, AL 36303.
Mrs. Aman was born and reared near Columbia, daughter of the late Lester Lee Wiggins and Janie French Blount Wiggins. She lived near Ashford most of her adult lifetime. Mrs. Aman was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. She was retired from Dothan Hosiery Mill as a sewing machine operator. Mrs. Aman was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Aman, a son, Mickey Phillips, a grandson, Roy Phillips, sisters, Ann Phillips and Sandy Cliff, a brother, Bill Wiggins and a step-grandson, Mark Aman.
Surviving relatives include three daughters, Debra Love (James), and Judy Love (Lanis), all of Ashford, and Cathy Morgan, Freeport, FL; three step-sons, Reverend Greg Aman (Diane), Stanley Aman (Cindy), and James Aman (Demirus), all of Dothan; a brother-in-law, Jerry Cliff, Morrisville, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren.
The family would like to express their appreciation to SouthernCare Hospice and Dr. Avula, and a special thank you to her grandson, Terry Bradley and his wife, Carmen, for the loving care and kindness shown to Mrs. Aman during her illness.
