JEANETTE WILLIAMS HARRIS
ABBEVILLE. . .Jeanette Williams Harris, a resident of County Road 57, South, Abbeville, died Wednesday night, February 29, 2012, at her home. She was 69.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A. M. Saturday, March 3, 2012, in the Pilgrim’s Rest Free Will Baptist Church with Reverend Thomas D. Gamble officiating and a eulogy to be given by Amy Parrish. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Friday at the mortuary in Abbeville.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Gentiva Hospice, P.O. Drawer 2127, Dothan, AL. 36302.
Mrs. Harris was a lifelong resident of Henry County, daughter of the late Comer Lee Williams and Ila Owens Williams. She was a member of the Pilgrim’s Rest Free Will Baptist Church. Mrs. Harris was formerly employed by WestPoint Stevens in Abbeville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Scott Harris and two sons, Randall Scott Harris and Billy Wayne Harris, three sisters, Ann Woods, Wilma Walker and Betty Hardwick and also five brothers, Sam Williams, John Williams, Robert Williams, Myrle Williams and Curtis Williams.
Surviving relatives include two daughters, Penny Blankenship and husband, Mike, Angela Bailey and husband, Kenneth and a son, Kenny Harris, all of Abbeville; a sister, Jeretha Fondren and husband, Johnny Slocomb; a brother, Roger Dale Williams and wife, Sandy, Dothan; sisters-in-law, Ruth Williams, Hazel Williams and Sara Virginia Williams and brothers-in-law, Joe Walker and Russell Hardwick; five grandchildren, Felicia Bowen (Chad), Keisha Hardwick, Erica Bowen (Kevin), Lindsey Wills (Ethan) and Hayli Harvill (Jesse), a special friend, Judy Hendley, Abbeville; numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Bobby Wills, JoJo Money, Clay Money, Jesse Lipscomb, Edward Lipscomb and Gary Hardwick; an honorary pallbearer, Tracy Barron.
