JEANIE HALL ROBINSON
Jeanie Hall Robinson of Headland, Alabama passed away at home surrounded by her family on August 19, 2023. She was 95. Jeanie was born April 26, 1928, in Abbeville, AL to the late J.T. and Flora Hall. She was preceded in death by her husband Herman Robinson.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at First Baptist Church – Headland, in the Worship Center, with Dr. Cecil M. Sanders, Jr., Reverend T.D. Hall, and Reverend Dudley Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3:00 P.M. prior to the service. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
Jeanie is survived by her daughter Lillian Robinson Mitchell and son-in-law Andy Mitchell, Headland, AL; granddaughter Molly Mitchell Rigoloso (Justin), Seattle, WA; a great-granddaughter Lily Rigoloso, Seattle, WA; two brothers T.D. Hall, Bedford, TX and Dudley Hall, Richland Hills, TX; two sisters Hilda Hall McKnight (Pete), Eufaula, AL and Phyllis Hall Abernethy, Fort Walton Beach, FL; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends Larry and Vickie Wells, Headland, AL.
Jeanie worked as a bookkeeper for Headland Auto Parts alongside David Thomas and Odell Bayne for 21 years until she retired in 1983 to care for her granddaughter Molly who was the light of her life. She won jitterbug contests in the 1940s, a strong love for life that followed her all of her days. Jeanie was a devout member, along with her late husband Herman, at FBC Headland where she taught Sunday School classes and sang in the church choir for over 50 years. Her faith in Jesus was the foundation of her life from a young age. Jeanie enjoyed volunteering at the gift shop at the medical center and was a faithful student of Precepts Bible studies taught by her friend Christie Smith in Dothan, AL. She was a breast cancer survivor and subsequently spent countless hours volunteering with the American Cancer Society. Jeanie, who was an avid Braves fan, was most affectionately known as Nana.
Pallbearers are Art Munn, Eufaula, AL; Justin Rigoloso, Seattle, WA; Guice Slawson, Equality, AL; David Thomas, Headland, AL; Mike Wehner, Headland, AL; Daniel Wells, Auburn, AL; Larry Wells, Headland, AL; Wesley Wells, Headland, AL. Honorary pallbearers include Jeanie’s Sunday School class and many beloved friends.
