ECHO COMMUNITY. . .Jeannette Booth Trawick, a resident of the Echo Community in Dale County, died Sunday morning, October 9, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was 72.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 12, 2022, in the Living Water Church with Pastor Chris Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P. M. Tuesday evening in the sanctuary of Living Water Church.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Living Water Church, 13022 East Highway 27, Newville, AL 36353.
Mrs. Trawick was born in Austell, Georgia and was reared in Lithia Springs, Georgia, daughter of the late Ralph Justice Booth, Sr. and Iris Elizabeth Cleapor Booth. She was a member of Living Water Church and was a devoted Christian. Mrs. Trawick moved to the Echo Community in 1974 where she lived the remainder of her lifetime. She was affectionately called by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, “Grandmama, Granny, Bebe and Darlin”. Mrs. Trawick was known for her special dishes which included homemade biscuits, dressing, chicken and rice, pound cake and apricot nectar cake. She loved to sing and passed her talent down to her children and grandchildren. She dearly loved her family and especially gathering at special occasions. Mrs. Trawick was preceded in by death two sisters, Mary Allmon and Gloria Booth, and a brother-in-law, John Walden.
Surviving relatives include her husband, Jimmy Trawick, two daughters, Lisa Brown (Chris), and Amy Elmore (Justin), a son, Randall Trawick (Melissa), all of the Echo Community, four sisters, Geraldine Walden, Conyers, GA; Shirley Fordham, Eatonton, GA; Becky Silberg (Dennis), Jamestown, ND; and Annie Heinzmann (David Rich), Pompano Beach, FL; a brother, Ralph Booth, Jr., (Pansie), Ellijay, GA; and a brother-in-law, Alan Allmon, Americus, GA; nine grandchildren, Beth Hyatt (Bradley), Hannah Brown, Josh Brown, Emily Trawick (fiance’, Eugene Chong), Aaron Trawick (Kyndall Wallace), Allison Trawick, Jackson Elmore, Ella Elmore and Eli Elmore; three great-grandchildren, Davis Hyatt, Haisten Hyatt and Lawson Hyatt; numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Josh Brown, Aaron Trawick, Bradley Hyatt, Justin Elmore, Eugene Chong and Brandon Smith.
