JEANNINE DOUGLAS GRACE
HEADLAND. . .Jeannine Douglas Grace, a resident of Headland, died late Friday afternoon, May 18, 2018, at her home. She was 65.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 P.M. Sunday, May 20, 2018, in the Worship Center of the First Baptist Church of Headland with Reverend Norman C. Simmons and Reverend Mike Wehner officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:30 P.M. Sunday in the church sanctuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Headland “Building Fund”, 301 East Church, Headland, AL 36345 or to the American Cancer Society, 3054 McGehee Road, Montgomery, AL 36111.
Jeannine Grace was a lifelong resident of Headland, daughter of the late Chester B. Douglas and Ruby Farmer Douglas. She was a 1970 graduate of Headland High School. Jeannine was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Headland and the Teresa Morriss Sunday School Class and was a former member of the Stanley Williams Sunday School Class. She was active in the Bethlehem Emmaus Community. Jeannine was retired from Ameris Bank where she served as Branch Manager in Headland and Abbeville. After retirement, she was employed by HNB First. Jeannine was preceded in death by a sister, Bama Jo Horne.
Surviving relatives include her husband, Tim Grace; two sons, Clay Grace (Holli) and Jim Grace; two sisters, Ginger Morris (Jimmy) and Miss Jerry Douglas, all of Headland; two grandchildren, Sheldon Grace and Raylee Grace; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law from the Grace family, Shirley Ward, Jane Reeder (Robert), and Wayne Grace (Eva); several nieces and nephews.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Joe Walden, Brent Birklid, Brendan Burks, Mark Wilcox, Luke Douglas, K. V. Douglas, Bill Gamble and Craig Grace. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be members of the Teresa Morriss Sunday School Class and the Stanley Williams Sunday School Class.
