ABBEVILLE. . .Jeffrey Allen “Jeff” Platt, a resident of Abbeville, died Sunday morning, April 7, 2019, in Clewiston, Florida. He was 55.


            Memorial services will be held at 5:30 P. M. Thursday, April 11, 2019, in the Calvary Baptist Church with Reverend Teddy Ward officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 5:30 P.M. Thursday in the church sanctuary. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.


            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Dept. 41831, P.O. Box 650309, Dallas, TX  75265


            Jeff Platt was a lifelong resident of Abbeville and was a graduate of Abbeville High School. He attended Auburn University where he received a degree in Business Agriculture. Jeff owned and operated Platt Auto Parts in Abbeville and was also engaged in cattle farming. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Samuel G. “Buddy” Platt.


            Surviving relatives include his wife, Tami Fears Platt; a daughter, Taylor Parrish (Ethan), Headland; his mother, Linda Blalock Platt, Abbeville; a brother, Kip Platt (Meredith), Abbeville; two grandsons, Clayton Parrish and Hudson Parrish; a niece, Sarah Hannah Platt, a nephew, Stetson Platt, and his special canine friend, “Peanut”
