EUFAULA, AL… Jeffrey John Smith, a former resident of Eufaula, Alabama, passed away Wednesday evening, April 5, 2023, at his home in Birmingham. He was 56.
A graveside funeral service will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday, April 10, 2023, at Christian Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Eufaula, with Dr. Ken Bush officiating. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Smith was born in Eufaula, Alabama to Lynn Cotton Baker and the late Johnny Elber Smith. He lived in Eufaula, Alabama all of his childhood and was a graduate of Eufaula High Class of 1984. Jeffrey exceled in his career as a flooring and furniture salesman. He had previously lived in Atlanta, GA, Pensacola, FL, and Huntsville, AL, before moving to Birmingham, AL, over thirty years ago. He was a member of the Rocky Mount Methodist Church in Baker Hill, Alabama.
Along with his father, he was also preceded in death by his uncle, Larry Cotton.
Leaving to cherish his memories is his mother, Lynn Cotton Baker (Robert); his brother Greg Smith (Terry Taylor Smith); his aunt, Delores Jackson (Jimmie); his uncle; George Cotton (Susan); his special cousins Susan Lynn (Reb Bloodsworth) and Ashley Hutto (Aaron); and several other cousins.
