Jena Renae Chaney

Jena Renae Chaney, a resident of Columbia, AL passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at a local hospital. She was 52 years old.

A celebration of her life will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, September 11, 2021 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. She will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1-2 pm.

Jena was born on March 19, 1969 to Warren and Judy Mercer Winskey. She loved all sorts of crafts, making wreaths, and took great pleasure in changing her home décor with every season. Jena was a wonderful caregiver, taking care of her ladies and providing much needed friendships for over 18 years. She loved her family and her fur babies. Jena was a wonderful cook, she loved country cooking especially from the recipes that were handed down from past generations.

Jena was preceded in death by her father, Warren Kelly Winskey

Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Chris Chaney; her daughters, Courtney (Michael) Bacos and Caitlyn Chaney; her mother, Judy Mercer; her brother, Jamey Winskey; her in-laws Julie and Eddie; her niece and nephew, Ashley and Alex; her beloved fur babies, Daisy Mae, Mali, and Blue; and a host of extended family and friends also survive.
