JENNIE MAE GULLEDGE

HEADLAND.…Jennie Mae Gulledge, a resident of Headland, AL passed away Thursday morning, July 23, 2020, at Signature Healthcare of North Florida. She was 80.

            Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Monday, July 27, 2020 at the Wright Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel with Reverend Mike Griggs officiating. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery. The family will receive friends 4:00 until 6:00 P.M. Sunday, July 26, 2020 at the Wright Funeral Home & Crematory.

            Mrs. Gulledge was born in Louisville, Alabama to the late Louis Adkinson and Jennella Kennedy Adkinson and lived there the early years of her life. She lived in the Headland, Alabama area the rest of her life until having to move to Signature Healthcare of North Florida where she fought a good fight with dementia. She and her late husband, Y.C. Gulledge, owned and operated Gulledge Sausage and also Gulledge Down Home Produce along with farming and growing their own fruits and vegetables for the produce stand.

            Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Diane Gulledge; her son, Y.C. Gulledge, Jr; her step-mother, Mickey Adkinson, her sister, Sheila McClure; and a great-grandson, Remington Hartzog.

            Leaving to cherish her memories are her daughter, Charlotte Gulledge Northington (Mark) of Headland; her sons, Ronnie Gulledge (Jackie) of Orangevale, CA; Gary Gulledge (Wanda Bice) of Dothan, AL; and Roger Gulledge (Linda) of Headland, AL; a brother, Mike Adkinson (Kathy) of Yazoo, MS; her grandchildren, Michael Campbell, Jennifer Bird, Garrett Gulledge, Tiffany Gulledge, Aundrea Gulledge, Skyler Gulledge, Paige King, Sarah Gulledge, Meagan Hartzog, Michelle Hartzog, and Leslie Enfinger; five great-grandchildren, including a special great-granddaughter, Lily King; special cousins, Tom & Mary Kennedy; also several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

            Serving as active pallbearers will be Eric Rogers, Matthew Welch, Buddy Adkinson, Sam Teal, Kevin Teal, Gage Willis, Zane Willis, and Willie C. Register.
