Jerome George Theisen, age 85, of Loganville, GA passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at Eastside Medical Center in Snellville, GA.
Born July 1, 1928 in St. Paul, MN to the late George Vincent and Edna Ella Rupp Theisen, Mr. Theisen attended Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. He served his country in the United States Army and was a retired research scientist with Lockheed Martin. In addition to loving research, he played trumpet in the jazz band, Jerry French Band. He was a compassionate man who honored God and family and was a loyal friend to all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving sister, Darlene Greene.
Survivors include his wife, Dannie Ann Buckhalt Theisen, Loganville, GA; his daughter, Linda Ann Jackson, Taylor, AL; his sons, Larry (Joan) Theisen, York, PA and Greg (Tina) Theisen, Loganville, GA; his grandchildren, David, Aimee, James, Christina, Chris, and Wes; six great-grandchildren; his sister, Sharon (Junior) Branson, Forest Lake, MN; his brother, Marlyn (Bette) Theisen, Crystal, MN; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Monday, June 16, 2014 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Brent Parker and Reverend Larry Theisen officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until service time, Monday, June 16, 2014 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home.
The family will be accepting flowers or contributions may be made to Selma Baptist Church.
