DOTHAN. . .Jerome Herbert Adams, a resident of Dothan, died Sunday afternoon, February 5, 2017, at his home. He was 59.
Graveside services, with military honors, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 8, 2017, in Gardens of Memory, between Headland & Dothan, with Pastor Jason W. Duren officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 10:45 A.M. Wednesday at the mortuary in Headland.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675 or to the American Cancer Society, 3054 McGehee Road, Montgomery, AL 36111.
Jerome Adams was a lifelong resident of Dothan and was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Adams. He was affiliated with the Victory Family Church. Jerome served his country in the U. S. Army Reserve, Daleville Unit, which was activated to Haiti, Desert Storm and Iraq. He was formerly employed by Army Fleet Support at Fort Rucker as a helicopter mechanic.
Surviving relatives include two daughters, April Kelly (Blake), and Serrah Adams, all of Dothan; a son, Patrick Adams, Tifton, GA; his mother, Nell Morrison Adams, Dothan; a sister, Melanie Clifton (Chris), Headland; five grandchildren, Cole Adams, Hayden Adams, A.J. Adams, Aiden Kelly and Ethan Kelly; a niece, Kyla Clifton, a nephew, Drake Clifton.
