JERRY ANN CREWS
DOTHAN.…Jerry Ann Crews, a resident of Dothan, formerly of Grimes / Napier Field, passed away Friday evening, December 6, 2019 at a Dothan hospital. She was 80.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, December 9, 2019, in the Wright Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel with Reverend Danny Quincey officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory, near Headland. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Monday at the chapel of Wright Funeral Home & Crematory.
Mrs. Crews was born on July 23, 1939 in Dale County, Alabama near Grimes / Napierfield. She was the daughter of Foy and Cannie (Mercer) Johnston and the foster daughter of Graves and Spella (Johnston) Woodham. Jerry Ann was a graduate of Midland City High School. She was a lifetime resident of Dale County before moving to Dothan 15 years ago. She was loan coordinator at Regions Bank before her retirement. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Dothan. Jerry Ann’s ability to connect and talk with anyone was the hallmark of her work outside the home and her community. As a loving mother, wife, sister, aunt, and devoted friend, Jerry Ann profoundly touched many lives. She is loved beyond measure and will be severely missed. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Harrell Crews, and a brother Billy Joe Johnston.
Leaving to cherish her memories are her sons, Tim Crews (Kathy), of Dothan, Rory Crews (Marina), of Huntsville, Michael Crews (Rosemary), of Marianna, FL; a sister, Juanita Neal, of Dothan; her grandchildren, Blake Crews (Alicia), Whitney Craig (Nick), Dale Crews (Becca), William Crews, Alana Crews, Katy Davis (Shane), Dusty Thompson, and Gleb Rudenko; her great-grandchildren, Susannah Crews, Ambrose Crews, Clementine Crews, Pricilla Crews, Jaden Craig, Lilly Craig, Bella Davis, Kaden Davis, and Elsie Crews; several nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Dale Crews, Blake Crews, Jody Neal, Johnny Neal, William Crews, and Shane Davis.
