Mr. Jerry Rudolph Kilcrease of Dothan, AL, formerly of Samson, AL passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2024. He was 65.


 Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 23, 2024 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva with Bro. Phillip Barnes and Bro. Danny Burns officiating. Burial will follow in Lime Springs Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva, AL directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday beginning at 1:00 p.m.


 Mr. Kilcrease was born in Geneva, AL on April 11, 1959 to the late Gordon Rudolph Henderson and Ira Lee Kilcrease Mayberry. Jerry was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, brother and friend. His heart was spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. Jerry was an accomplished auto mechanic who could fix about anything you put in front of him. His passion was being a truck driver, which he did for 40 plus years, and did it well. He enjoyed planting a garden and listening to his music. Jerry is loved and will be missed by all who counted him as a friend.


 In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his stepfather, Maxwell Ray Mayberry and son-in-law, Brian Grudzinski, and brother-in-law, Allen Hamilton.


 Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Alice Russell Dowling Kilcrease of Dothan, AL; two daughters, Brandy Grudzinski (Duff Reeves) of Opp, AL and Kelli Batson (Charles) of Gantt, AL; eight grandchildren, Ethan Batson (Leslie), Jaxxon Batson, Luke “The Drifter” Batson, Benny Joe Batson, “Little” Brian Grudzinski (Kristin), McKenzi Grudzinski, Colton Reeves and Gracie Reeves; three great grandchildren, Brinleigh Batson, Bodhi Batson and Stetson Grudzinski; two sisters, Terri Hamilton of DeFuniak Springs, FL and Jamie “Missy” Hill (Scott) of Samson, AL; one brother, Scott Henderson of MS and one special cousin, Annette Hudspeth (Randy) of Samson, AL; mother of his daughters, Debbie M. Kilcrease of Gantt, AL; father-in-law, Alcus Russell and mother-in-law, Margaret Russell, both of Dothan, AL; a number of other extended family and friends.
