Jesse Carl Hallford, 85, of Dothan, Alabama (Wicksburg area), went to be with his Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, January 3, 2015.

Carl was a godly, Christian man who loved Christ, his family, his church, his friends, and his fellow man. He worked for Southeast Alabama Gas District for the majority of his career while maintaining an active family and church life. He was a current and charter member of Logos Baptist Church and was a long time member of Mount Gilead Baptist Church. Of his many contributions to others, he was most proud of his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews who looked to him for wisdom and guidance. Loving husband, Uncle Carl, Carl Carl, Granddaddy Carl, and Daddy were the titles that meant the most to him.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 5 at 10:00 AM at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church with David Anderson and Tom Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Gilead Baptist Church cemetery with Sunset Memorial Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 4 from 2:00-4:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Mr. Hallford’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The family is especially grateful for the excellent and loving care he received from Virginia, Beth, and caregiver Becky Jones. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Logos Baptist Church Building Fund, 256 Honeysuckle Road, Brightleaf Court, Suite 5, Dothan, AL 36305 or the Alzheimer’s Resource Center, 1314 Westgate Parkway, Suite 2, Dothan, AL 36303.
