Mr. Jesse Justice, Jr., age 73, was called home to be with the Lord on October 19, 2014 at 10:25 PM surrounded by his children and grandchildren. He was a proud veteran serving 20 years in the US Army. He entered the service June 11, 1958 and served in France, Korea, two tours in Vietnam and several US Army Posts with the majority of time spent at Ft. Rucker. After retiring from the military, he worked 19 years with Petroleum Helicopters, Inc. of Lafayette, Louisiana as an Air Traffic Controller until he became disabled. He was an avid amateur radio operator and enjoyed repairing radios, woodworking, working in the yards and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Justice, Sr. and Myrtle Rowe Justice and a son-in-law, Donnie Craft.
Mr. Justice is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carole Bradley Justice of Bonifay, FL; one son, Steve Justice of Bonifay, FL; two daughters, Cindy Trammell and husband Terry of Westville, FL and Sherry Craft of Perry, FL; two brothers, James Justice and wife Jeanette of Buffalo, MO, Fred Justice of Walton, KY; seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, October 24, 2014 at Union Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Carson Fender, Rev. Jon Hatcher and Rev. Robert ‘Cricket’ Watson officiating. Interment will follow with military honors in the Union Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Peel Funeral Home directing. Family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Thursday at Peel Funeral Home.
