Jessie Paul Beasley, 73, of Pinckard passed away Sunday, April 21, 2013 at Ozark Health and Rehab.
Funeral services will be held 2pm Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Turner officiating. Burial will follow in New Covenant Church Cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-7pm on Tuesday.
Mr. Beasley was born June 26, 1939 in Newton, Alabama and lived most of his life in Pinckard. He was a veteran of the US Air Force. Mr. Beasley was employed with Couch Concrete for over 30 years as a driver. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Maude Beasley, his wife Eleanor Beasley, and by a step-daughter, Vanessa Dean.
Survivors include his sons, Jessie Paul, Jr. (Kim) Beasley, Pinckard, and Johnny Mack (Donna) Beasley, Newton; his daughter, Paula Sue (Larry) Burcham, Newton; his step-son, Kenneth Odell Green, Eufaula; his step-daughters, Janet Green Proctor, Midland City, and Lisa Quattlebaum, Pinckard; his 19 grandchildren; his 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; his brother, Sam (Catherine) Beasley, Donalsonville; his sister, Sue (Bob) Zellars, Dothan; a special friend, Joanne McCrary; several nieces and nephews.
