Jessie Wayne Troublefield of Samson passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at his home. He was 75 years old.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 28, 2020 at Samson First Assembly of God Church with Rev. Jimmy Eddins and Rev. Michael Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Samson City Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday beginning at 12:00 p.m.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mr. Troublefield to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Wayne was born in Coffee County, AL on September 1, 1944 to the late Jessie Dee and Era Mae Ashberry Troublefield. Wayne was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was also a die-hard Alabama Crimson Tide Fan “Roll Tide Roll.”
He is survived by his loving wife, Vickie Presley Troublefield of Samson; three sons, Jamie Troublefield (Amy) of Westville, FL, Scotty Troublefield (Sheri) of Samson, and David Troublefield of Samson; two daughters, Danielle Earls, and Patricia Vega both of Samson; six grandchildren, Presley, Joe David, Will, Audrey Grace, Shay, and Nathan; one brother, Roland Troublefield (Dianne) of DeFuniak Springs, FL, one sister, Janette Hill of DeFuniak Springs, FL; very special uncle, Wayne Phillips of Samson; and many special nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be, Timmy Sanders, Jesse Anderson, Benji Campbell, James Lawson, B.J. Hudgens, and Johnny Heath.
