Jewell Ludie Williams, treasured for her enduring love and faith-filled heart, passed away peacefully at her residence on September 9, 2024, at the age of 96. Born on January 18, 1928, in Geneva, AL. Jewell’s life was a testament to the strength and beauty of simplicity.
She was a devoted homemaker, a passionate gardener, and a long-time member of the Berean Baptist Church. Her journey through life was shared with her beloved husband of 77 years, Charles A. Williams, who preceded her in death. She was a loving sister to Shirley Loftin, Maudie Godwin, and Clarence Cockran.
Her loving legacy continues through her children, Glenda Ethridge, Peggy Blalock (Jerome), a son, Roger Williams (Dianne), sister, Peggy Kiddy (Nip) as well as her cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Jewell’s gentle spirit and unwavering kindness will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. Her life was an embodiment of love, touching countless lives through her gentle disposition and steadfast faith.
A private family service will be held at Ward Wilson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Memory Hill Cemetery.
