Jim Lee Meredith of Geneva, Alabama passed away Monday, October 19, 2015 at Wiregrass Medical Center. He was 41.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 23, 2015, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Charles King and Rev. Scott Crooms officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, October 22, 2015, from 6 until 8 p.m.
Lee was born January 13, 1974, in Geneva County, Alabama. He attended Samson High School where he played on the Samson Tiger Football Team. Lee later earned a drafting degree from MacAuthur Technical College in Opp. He was employed with Sysco and with Outdoor Aluminum as a welder. He loved FSU football, hunting, fishing and anything to do with the outdoors.
He is preceded in death by grandparents, John and Janice Conner, Buddy and Virginia Meredith and L.B. Greggs, as well as an uncle, Willie Meredith.
Survivors include his loving wife, Veronica Huggins Meredith of Geneva; two daughters: three month old, Novaleigh Meredith, of Geneva, Brittany (Chris) Bedsole of Hartford; three sons: Terry Lee Meredith, II, Austin and Leon Carrel, all of Geneva; parents: Terry and Lorinda Meredith of Samson and Julia Greggs of Clayhatchee; three sisters: Jennifer (Mike) Mordecai of Dothan, Natalie (Josh) Miller of Samson and April (Kyle) Watkins of Bonifay; one brother, Bo Wood of Defuniak Springs; grandmother, Francis Greggs; ten nephews and nieces: Roger Lee Miller, Jackson, Jacob and John-Michael Mordecai, Patience, Kiana and Skylar Wood, Gabriella, Isabella and Ariella Watkins; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family.
