NEWTON. . .Jimmie Terrell “Johnson” Dickerson, II, a resident of Newton, died early Tuesday afternoon, September 15, 2020, in the emergency room of the Dale Medical Center in Ozark. He was 48.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 18, 2020, in the Ashford City Cemetery with Clayton Turner officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Thursday at the mortuary in Headland. Social distancing guidelines and masks will be observed.
Mr. Dickerson was a native of Ashford and was reared in the Midland City-Napier Field area. He attended the Dale County High School. “Johnson”, as he was affectionately known, was self-employed as the Owner and Operator of Dickerson Movers of Newton.
Surviving relatives include his Fiancé, Tammy Deese; two daughters, Marilee Sage Stephens, Jasper, FL; and Alexis Dickerson, Ozark; a son, Trent Dickerson, Wicksburg; his parents, Jimmie and Sharon Glover Dickerson, Newton; two step-children, Bryce Woodham (Regan) and Hailey Woodham; a sister, Donna Karen Beasley (Johnny), Newton; four grandchildren, Emily King, Shane King, Lexi King and Cameron Woodham: two nephews, Austin and Avery Beasley.
