In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Grimes Methodist Church (404 Paramore Road, Dothan, AL  36303) where Wayne was a member.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Newton and Rosa Mae Kilgore Newton, and his beloved daughter, Kimberly Newton Henderson.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, embodied by his wife of sixty-two years, Sylvia Vickery Newton, who stood by his side through life’s journey.  A sister Marianne Witchterman (John), and her children, Graham and Leslee.  Three granddaughters, Garris Jones (Jade), Emma Rose Taylor (Matt), and Shellie Strickland.  Two great-grandchildren, Laney Shea Jones and Xander Jones.
