Jimmy Frank Ivey, a resident of Blue Springs, Alabama passed away Saturday, July 20, 2024, at his residence. He was 56 years old.

The family will hold a memorial for Jimmy at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family asks contributions to be made to the Children’s Miracle Network- 205 West 700 South Salt Lake City, Utah 84101.

Born August 21, 1967, in Dale County, Alabama, Jimmy was the son of the late Frank Ivey and Lily Ann Roberts. Jimmy spent most of his life as a handyman and could build or fix anything he set his mind to. He was very creative and enjoyed wood carving, gardening, hunting, and fishing. Jimmy loved and adored his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ricky Ivey.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 24 years, Tamara Baxley Ivey; five daughters, Taylor Cannon (Austin), April Hicks (Derrick), Brittany Owings (Chris), Kayla Elmore (Timothy), and Amy Greathouse; twelve grandchildren, Alaina Owings, Jaxon Owings, Raiden Hicks, Evalynn Cannon, LilyAnna Cannon, unborn- Marleigh Cannon, Anna Carr, Lenzy Kiernan, Zoey Elmore, Tyden Elmore, Gunner Elmore, Alayna Elmore; two brothers, David Ivey (Janet) and Michael Ivey; three sisters, Brenda Ivey, Margie Day (Ben), and Freda Welch (Tony); brother-in-law, Tony Baxley (Christina); three sisters-in-law, Therisa Kain (Cricket), Tonia Beverett (Tim), and Dawn Ivey; several nieces and nephews.
