Jimmy McCluskey of Samson, AL passed away on Friday, November 01, 2024. He was 61.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, November 04, 2024, in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Wes Davis officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday beginning at 5:00 p.m.
Jimmy was born on April 24, 1963 in San Diego, CA to the late James Albert McCluskey and Patricia Ann McQuiston. He was affectionately known as “Jimbo” by friends and family. His grandchildren, who were the light of his life, lovingly referred to him as “Bodaddy”. In his younger years, he was very fit, athletic and quite the talented baseball catcher. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. When given the chance, he loved to sing karaoke and perform for family and friends. Weekends in the fall were reserved for Alabama Football and playing cards.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his adopted father, William Roy McQuiston, who raised Jimmy as his own following the death of his father and one brother, James Randall McCluskey.
Jimbo was survived by his loving and devoted wife, Elizabeth Taylor McCluskey of Samson; five children, BreAnna Gibbs of Samson, Savannah Gibbs Baine (Stephen) of Slocomb, Hunter Chaz Brooks (Aundi), DeAnna Gibbs and Devan Seth Gibbs, all of Samson; six grandchildren, Peyton and Beau Johnson, Trey Baine, Stella and Callan Brooks and Ci`Anna Coronel; one sister, Cynthia Jane Prickett of Valley, AL and best friend, Ron Lipham (Nicki) of Roanoke, AL.
