Jo Ann Hammond, 73, a resident of Hartford, passed away on Tuesday, September 8,2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 28, 1947 in Dothan to the late William Henry Smith and Lavada (Hoffman) Smith.

Jo Ann was a loving mother, sister, grandmother who enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. She also enjoyed playing bingo and reading books. Jo Ann was a member of Pilgrim Home Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marlin Hammond.

Survivors include her children, Skyi (Arnold) Pass, and Mark (Melissa) Hammond, brother, Wayne Smith, sister, Helen (Bill) Hanson, grandchildren, Kiel Hammond, Shane (Megan) Hammond, Ryan Morrison, Rikki Williams, Luke Williams, a special little girl and a  great-grandson, Jasper Hammond.
