HEADLAND. . .Joan Skinner Driggers, a resident of Headland, died late Saturday night, February 11, 2023, at her home. She was 76.
Celebration of life services will be held at a later date. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Driggers was born and reared in Headland, daughter of the late Elbert Wesley Skinner and Hilda Newton Skinner. She was a 1964 graduate of Headland High School and attended Troy University. Mrs. Driggers formerly lived in Tallahassee, Florida and returned to Headland in 1992. She was a member of the Headland Methodist Church. Mrs. Driggers was homemaker and caretaker for her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Edward “Ken” Driggers.
Surviving relatives include a son, Mike Driggers (Kristi), Headland; a granddaughter, Amanda Driggers, Minneapolis, MN; sisters, Brenda Skinner Stroup (Hank), Pawleys Island, SC; and Patsy Skinner Ponder (Stan), Leesburg, GA; a sister-in-law, Marcia Driggers Weber (Kim), Wetumpka, AL; several nieces and nephews;
