JODY ANN BROWN SKIPPER

NEWVILLE, AL…, Jody Ann Brown Skipper, a resident of Newville, Alabama, passed away late Friday night, July 28, 2023, at her home. She was 69.

 

Memorial services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday August 05, 2023, at Abbeville United Methodist Church with Reverend Randy Green officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.

 

          In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Jody’s memory to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741, or www.cancer.org.

 

Jody Ann Brown Skipper was born in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Ned Haynes Brown and Mary Elizabeth King Brown. She graduated from Gardena High School in Gardena, California and obtained her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Hawaii. She attended Troy University where she received her master’s degree. She was an avid Alabama fan. She was a member of Abbeville United Methodist Church.

 

Surviving relatives include her husband, Jeff Skipper; her sons, Daniel K. Bright, Michael P. Bright, and Brad Skipper; her sister, Jill Annette Smith; her brother, Lee Edward Brown (Theresa); her sisters-in-law, Dana Starling (Phillip) and Debbie Mobley (Danny); and several other loving family and friends.
