Joe Tellis Outlaw
Joe Tellis Outlaw, born September 6, 1944 passed into eternal glory on November 17, 2021. Joe Outlaw was born to Denzil Robert Outlaw and Gussie Mae (Herring) Outlaw.
A funeral service for Mr. Outlaw will be Friday, November 19, 2021, 3:00 p.m., in the chapel of First Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Josh Alderman officiating. The family will receive friends starting at 2:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Smyrna Baptist Church.
Joe Outlaw was married to his love Annell W. Outlaw, who has given him devoted and loving care.
Joe was a person that always gave you a smile and his good humor, he was loved by many. Joe spent many years in the Grocery Store industry in various management positions, until his retirement.
Joe had children he raised Janice Taylor and Alan Eddy.
Joe was always the fun one and had a story for every occasion. He was especially happy when family gatherings took place, and he was also a fine cook. Joe will be missed for his loving hugs, his great sense of family and his sweet gentle spirit.
Joe Outlaw was preceded in death by his brother Robert Ralph (Jewel) Outlaw, Dorothy Mae Outlaw and brother Thomas Hamilton (Rita) Outlaw. Joe leaves behind his brother William (Bill) Denzil Outlaw, sister Linda Hines Hornsby (Truman) and Rita Faye Outlaw.
Joe leaves behind a host of Nephews and Nieces that loved him deeply, Paul (Angie) Outlaw, Kristie (Bill) Reaves, Amanda (Kevin) Folmar, along with their children.
Joe also leaves behind his step-children Michael (Shelia) Shirley, Mark (Carrie) Shirley, Caleb (Windie) Thomley, step-grandchildren Michael (Kathy), Jerome, Brittany Shirley. Step great grandchildren Adam Barfield, Allison Barfield, Kevin Barfield and Dylan Shirley, sister-in-law Jackie Kirkland, Linda Simon, Kathy Bowman.
We want to thank Kindred Hospice of Dothan and the wonderful staff. The staff at Kindred became like family. Kindred went over and above to ensure that Joe had the best care and assist Annell in his care. A special thank you to Amy, Brantley and the other staff.
