Obituary: Joe Tom Byrd 

Mr. Joe Tom Byrd of  Enterprise passed away Saturday, March 3, 2012 in Dothan surrounded by his family. He was 75.  

Funeral services will be 2:00pm Wednesday, March 7, 2012 from the Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel in Enterprise with Rev Harry Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in the Sardis United Methodist Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Enterprise directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5 until 7pm.

 Mr. Byrd was born December 12, 1936 in Coffee County to the late William Curtis and Carrie Lee Williams Byrd. He was a member of the Sardis United Methodist Church, a veteran of the U.S. Army  a member of the Carmichael Masonic Lodge # 548. His wife, Barbara Ann Gilmore Byrd and a daughter Sheila Ann Byrd Thomas preceded him in death.

 Survivors include his daughter: Debbie Jo (Sissy) Moeglin (William R.), Dothan, AL, his son, Curt Byrd (Noxie), McMinnville, TN, 2 brothers: Rex Byrd, Albany, GA, Leon C. Byrd (Koenia), Andalusia, AL, 2 grandchildren: Kyle Lee Brookins and Kyndle Lynn Rogers (Elijah), several nieces and nephews.
