MIDLAND CITY…Joe Walding, a resident of Midland City, died early Tuesday afternoon, January 12, 2016, at his home. He was 80.


            Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, January 15, 2016, in the Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, near Midland City, with Reverend Ray Kelly and Reverend Dianne Kelly officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will be at the home of Rosa Walding Lingo, 10553 County Road 67, Midland City.


            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ozark-Dale County Humane Society, P.O. Box 2502, Ozark, AL 36361.


            Joe Walding was a lifelong resident of Midland City, son of the late Huey Walding and Louise Cook Walding. He was a retired employee of the Mikie Walding Construction. Joe was a member of the Midland City United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by a brother, Mikie Walding.


            Surviving relatives include his wife, Dot Waters Walding, Midland City; four daughters, Deborah Walding Adams (Michael), Fadette, AL; Jill Walding Godwin (Terry), Newton; Rosa Walding Lingo (David), Midland City; and Jeannine Cestaro Brehm (Jason), Dothan; two sons, Joseph Walding, Birmingham; and Kevin Walding, Dothan; a sister, Linda Parker, Midland City; a brother, Kenny Walding (Judy), Headland; a sister-in-law, Barbara Walding, Midland City; four grandchildren, Rhonda McSween (Jamie), David McSween, Ranah McSween and Heather Morgan; three great-grandchildren, Lillian Morgan, Olivia Miller, and Sophie Wilcox.
