John Dwayne Harper, a resident of Pansey, AL, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 22, 2020. He was 61.
In consideration of community health and public safety due to the COVID 19 Virus, a graveside service will be held for family and close friends at 2 pm on Sunday, May 24, 2020 in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Greg Aman officiating.
Dwayne was born on January 3, 1959 in Dothan and has lived in Pansey all his life. He was a faithful and loving Christian family man. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially at reunions. Spending time with his grandchildren was an extra special treat for him. Dwayne enjoyed the outdoors; fishing was a favorite hobby when he was not farming. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.
Dwayne was preceded in death by his first wife, Caryl Harper and his parents, R. C. and Doris Harper.
Survivors include his wife of 10 years, Cyndi Harper; his daughter, Joni (Tre) Eubanks; his stepsons, Jonathan (Amanda) Powers and Brian (Rebecca) Powers; his stepdaughter, Lauren (Scott) Turner; his 9 grandchildren, Devin Peterson, James Powers, Hunter Eubanks, Logan Powers, Jaydin Powers, Cooper Powers, Dylan Turner, Charlee Jo Turner, and Westin Powers; his brothers, Jody Harper (June Cummings) and Cedric (Maxine) Harper; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends also survive.
