John Grady Sasser age 90, a resident of Elba, Alabama passed away Thursday, May 6, 2021 at his home. Private graveside services were held at New Haven Baptist Church Cemetery on Friday, May 7, 2021 with Hayes Funeral Home directing.

John worked many years at the Big Bear grocery store in Elba as produce manager, and after it closed, continued to work at the IGA in Opp. He will be remembered as loving husband, father, and grandfather by those which knew him best.

He is survived by his Wife - Pat Sasser, Elba, AL, Son - Lamar (Roxana) Sasser, Elba, AL, Son - Dennis Paul (Tonya) Sasser, Elba, AL, Sister - Chistine Nelson, Opp, AL, and Brother - Charles Sasser of Elba, Alabama. He also leaves to cherish his memory six grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.

Mr. Sasser was preceded in death by his parents, Bessie Sasser, and Ed Edgar Sasser, along with a sister Shirley Kelley.

Hayes Funeral Home of Elba, Alabama is serving the Sasser family.
