ENTERPRISE. . .John Mark Burdeshaw, a resident of Enterprise, died unexpectedly Saturday, March 11, 2017, at his home. He was 51.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 14, 2017, in the Camp Springs Baptist Church, near Columbia, with Dr. Kevin Freeman and Reverend Gary Waddell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 4:30 until 7:00 P.M. Monday at the mortuary in Headland.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Camp Springs Cemetery Fund, c/o Sharon Elliott, 13205 County Road 53, Columbia, AL 36319 or to the American Heart Association, 1449 Medical Park Drive, Birmingham, AL 35213 or to St. Jude Children’ Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Mr. Burdeshaw was a native of the Camp Springs community, near Columbia. He was a graduate of Headland High School and attended Wallace Community College where he received an Associate’s Degree. Mr. Burdeshaw was a member of the Camp Springs Baptist Church and was affiliated with St. John’s Catholic Church in Enterprise. He was employed by ADM (Golden Peanut Co.) in Headland as a Supervisor. In earlier years, he owned and operated Burdeshaw Repair Service and worked at Freeman International in Columbia.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Lisa Burdeshaw, Enterprise; two daughters, Marcy Burdeshaw McBride (Ethan), Cottonwood; and Miranda Burdeshaw, Dothan; two step-daughters, Stephanie Wynn, Birmingham; and Felicia Wynn, Enterprise; his parents, Glenda Creel Borener and Birt Borener, Dothan; John Emory Burdeshaw and Dina Woodham Burdeshaw, Columbia; a sister, Sandra Brown, (Perry), Columbia; and a brother, David Emory Burdeshaw (Tracie), Columbia; two grandchildren, Kelsey McBride and Emileigh McBride; a step-brother, Jim Borener (Bobbi), Tennessee and a step-sister, Beth Smith (Mark), Dothan.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Perry Brown, Kevin Burdeshaw, Ethan McBride, Dennis Ngo, Charles Hartless and David Burdeshaw.
