John McLean, Jr. of Enterprise, Alabama passed away, Sunday, May 26, 2024, at his home.  He was 74. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Walker officiating.  Burial will follow in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time at the church.  Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 4127 Rucker Blvd, Enterprise, AL 36330.

John graduated from Daleville High School in 1968 where he was a star football player.  He worked as HVAC for Harrell Patterson Contractors, Enterprise Hospital and Gilley’s Heating and Cooling.  He was an avid hunter and target shooter. He loved Alabama football and his family.

John was preceded in death by his parents John and Willene McLean and the mother of his children Linda Buckalew.   

Survivors include his daughter, Lynn Owens (Matt), Rehobeth, AL; son, Paul McLean (Kari), Level Plains, AL; seven grandchildren, Taylor, Dustin and Dylan Owens; Morgan Dawkins (Blake); John Dalton McLean (Summer); Madison McLean; Reagan McLean; sister, Gloria Waters (Jimmy), Enterprise, AL; special friend and companion, Janet Fuller, Level Plains, AL; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Brittany and Beth with DaySpring Hospice for caring for their father.
