John Ellsworth Rex, of Daleville, Alabama, passed away November 24, 2024. He was 70.

Funeral services with cremation to follow will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 30, 2024 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Enterprise with Reverend Howard Moore officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday prior to the service beginning at 9:00 am and continuing until service time.

John was born May 16, 1954 in New Jersey to the late John Howard and June Miriam Lashley Rex. In addition to his parents, his wife, Betty Sue Rex; son, Harold Bryant; two grandchildren, Kaitlin Robbins, Wade Robbins Jr. all preceded him in death.

Survivors include his children: John Lewis Rex, Wade Franklin Robbins (Mary), Michael O’Neal Bryant, Kandia Childree (Eva), Stephanie Elson (Tim); siblings, Dawn Rex, Cindy Randall, Liese Rex, Jimmy Rex; grandchildren: Nikki Rogers, Robert Robbins, Bridget Bryant, Michael Bryant, Maranda Bryant, Rebecca “Becka” Bryant, Jeri Bryant, Trisden Rex, Logan Rex, Gavin Rex; thirteen great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
