ABBEVILLE. . .John Robert Robison, a resident of Abbeville, died early Wednesday morning, November 30, 2016, at his home. He was 75.


            Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 2, 2016, in Gardens of Memory, between Headland & Dothan, with Reverend Mickey Skinner officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 A.M. Friday at the mortuary in Headland.


            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Children’s Miracle Network, 1600 7th Avenue, South, Birmingham, AL 35233 or to Lakeside Christian Fellowship, P.O. Box 218, Abbeville, AL 36310.


            Mr. Robison was born and reared in the Hardwicksburg Community of Henry County, son of the late James Manning Robison and Hattie Nola Brady Robison. He served his country in the United States Army Reserve Unit in Abbeville. He lived in Dothan most of his adult lifetime before moving to Lake Eufaula in 2002. He was a member of the Grandview Baptist Church in Dothan. Mr. Robison was retired from the City of Dothan as a Supervisor in the Water Department. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Woodham Robison, four sisters, Annie Earl Skelton, Leitha Teal, Sallie Singletary and Vernice Dasinger, and three brothers, James Paul Robison, Willie Carl Robison and Ralph Hilton Robison.


            Surviving relatives include a special friend, Carolyn Adams; a sister, Rachel Daughtry (James), a brother, Harold Robison (Ann), all of Abbeville; a sister-in-law, Doris Robison, Dothan; numerous nieces and nephews including, Daphne Perry (Tony), Abbeville; Terry Lasseter, Dothan; Kathy Martin, Dothan; Mike Dale Teal, Pansey, AL; Harold Singletary, Dothan, and Harold Robison, Jr., Abbeville; and Eric Daughtry; many special friends in the Hardridge Creek community.
