John W. Reeves

John W. Reeves of Enterprise passed away Saturday morning, December 16, 2017 in Enterprise. He was 83.

 

Funeral services will be 11:00am Monday, December 18, 2017 at the Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel in Enterprise with  Rev. Jim Duhaime officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Meadowlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday beginning at 10:00am and continuing until service time.

 

Mr. Reeves was born February 1, 1934 in Covington County to the late Shelby and Alma Spurlin Reeves. He was retired from the U.S. Army after having served 2 tours in Viet Nam. His first wife Shirley Reeves preceded him in death.  

 

Survivors include his wife, Janell Stokes Reeves, Enterprise, AL, 1 son: Barry Reeves (Lynne), Enterprise, AL, 3 sisters: Mureen Archer, Enterprise, AL, Sue Mims, Daleville, AL, Shirley O’Ferrell, Elba, AL, 3 brothers: Roy Reeves (Margaret), Enterprise, AL, Paul Reeves (Winnie), Enterprise, AL, Leo Reeves (Gayle), Enterprise, AL, grandchildren: Melissa Reeves Stewart (Craig), Matt Reeves, step-children: William Morgan (Becky), Jamie Dorsey, step-grandchild ,Tyler Wise, numerous nieces and nephews.
