John Wrobel of Midland City passed away August 10, 2024, at the age of 80. Born in Poland on September 29, 1943, to the late Andrzej and Bronsilava Derkacz Wrobel. His life was a testament to the power of a joyous spirit.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jane Wrobel, three daughters, Rhonda Wagner (Greg), Michele Kleinschnitz (David), and Sheri Park (Paul). A son, John D. Wrobel (Angela).
A memorial service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, August 24, 2024 at the St. Columba Catholic Church in Dothan. Flowers will be accepted.
As a young man, John immigrated from Poland to North America, where the family settled in Maryland. As an adult, John was deeply involved in quality control of the technology movement of the 70s 80s and 90s. Making his way from the north down to the extreme south and as far west as California, John made an executive impact on how people looked at quality control.
As a father of three beautiful daughters and a son, he retired with his wife Jane to a small little town in Midland City, Alabama. John‘s retirement fortified his creative spirit to do projects, fix things and be a man about his shop. John built relationships in Alabama that left a smile on everybody’s face. John will be missed, but his spirit will never be forgotten.
