Johnnie Charles Harris, 81, a resident of Dothan, passed Friday, October 9, 2020 at Southeast Health.


Memorial services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 17, 2020 via Zoom with Wade Register officiating. The family will visit friends following the service via Zoom.


Johnnie was born in Dale County to Wallace and Susie Harris on March 14, 1939.  He retired after being employed with Couch Construction/Apex for many years.  Johnnie was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.


Johnnie was predeceased by his parents, a sister, Janice Reynolds (Robert), a sister-in-law Sue (CL) Ford and 2 brothers-in-law, Roy Lee Jackson and Johnny Baxter.


Survivors include sons, Johnny Charles (Chuck) Harris, Jr. and Anthony Harris (Deborah); daughters, Jeannie Selecia McCall and Stephanie Curtis (Kevin) all of Dothan;  their mother, Lillie Evelyn Harris; brothers, Arthur Harris (Carolyn), Roy Lee Harris (Jeanette), and Kenneth Harris (Valarie); a sister, Christine Broughton; grandchildren, David Chaddrick McCall (Anita), Jeremy McCall (Shay), Katelynn McClendon (Corey), Ethan Curtis (Tori) and Andrew Curtis; six great-grandchildren;  special cousin, Floyd King (Joyce); brothers and sisters-in-laws are Eddie Earl Oliver (Rachael), Elsie Weems, Ludie Jackson (Sammy), Deloris Baxter, Connie Oliver, Linda Jackson and Angus Lamar Oliver; several nieces and nephews.
