He was a loving friend, brother, dad, papa, and husband. He was married to his loving wife Pam for 24 amazing years. During those years they have traveled many miles together making life long memories that will be cherished forever. Johnny loved his grandbabies and great grandbabies and was the ultimate definition of what a Papa should be. He was a dedicated employee and past service man. On a beautiful day you would find him on a john boat with his fishing pole in hand. Unless it was football Saturday he would be caught in front of the TV cheering on the Florida State Seminoles with a crown and sprite.
He is preceded in death by father Charlie Gillis, Mother Elsie Gillis, Brother Bobby, Sister Judy, Daughter Melissa Knowles
Survivors: wife Pam Gillis, Daughters: Anita Brooks, Patty Warren (Gregg); Grandbabies: Pamela Wheeler(Bud), Cindy Daniels, Kayla Warren (Joe), Jonathan Myhand, Kaylee Lett, Kelsey Lindley (Jacob), and Chris Myhand Great Grandbabies: Makenzie Wheeler, Tripp Wheeler, Adaleigh Carnley, Emma King, Hazel Lindley, and one on the way Brooklynn Melissa Warren. Brother in law Carl Swigart Jr (Trish) and Johnnie Swigart (Peggy) with numerous nieces and nephews. Special Friends Sheryl Farley, Teco Hodge, Amber King, and Nathan Myhand
