Johnny “John” Leon Galloway of Westville, FL passed away suddenly on Monday, April 5, 2021. He was 66. He suffered a massive coronary event, doing what he loved, tending to his fields. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 10, 2021, at Sweet Gum Head Church of Christ with Rev. Mark Cooley, officiating. Burial will follow at Hurricane Creek Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva, directing. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Mr. Galloway was born in Valparaiso, FL on July 6, 1954, to the late Murdoc and Mary Sue Castello Galloway. Prior to his retirement, he owned and operated a construction business. He was an avid diver who enjoyed snorkeling and fishing. He also enjoyed farming as a hobby. He was preceded in death by a brother, Dr. AB Galloway; and a nephew, Daniel Galloway.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Teresa; son, Oscar “Rocky” Galloway (Lori), and grandchildren, Hannah, Brantley, and Hank; son, James Michael Galloway all of Westville, FL; stepson, Stephen Ruckman (Tricia), and grandchildren, Peter, Joseph, Reagan, and Adam of Mount Washington, KY; stepson, Matthew Ruckman (Erin), grandchildren, Adison, Aidan, and Owen of Cantonment, FL; step-daughter, Jamilyn Ruckman, and fiancé, Daniel Newton of Pensacola, FL; sister, Gail Werth (Ken) of Destin, FL; brother, Danny Galloway (Sally) of Pensacola, FL; and treasured nieces and nephews, beloved cousins, and friends. John Galloway, by his own proclamation and faith, is in Heaven with his Lord and Savior. He is longing and waiting for you to join him by trusting in his Savior, Jesus Christ.
