Mr. Johnny Lewis “Paw Paw” Morrow of Geneva, Alabama passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2013. He was 80.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 30, 2013, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Jimmy Eddins officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery with military honors and Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, August 29, from 6 until 8 p.m.
Mr. Morrow was born October 10, 1932 in Dale County to the late Robert Clanton and Ula Mae Brooks Morrow. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force which included a tour in Korea and Vietnam. He retired from Wiregrass Medical Center after 32 years of service. While at the Medical Center he work with Central Sterile in the surgery department and was also the maintenance supervisor for the vending machines. He was of the Assembly of God faith.
Survivors include his wife, Ernestine Motley Morrow, Geneva; one son, Johnny Wayne Morrow (Kathy), Geneva; two daughters: Diane Mock (Ray), Samson, and Sharon Morrow, Chancellor; seven grandchildren, Pepper Mock (Amber), Slocomb, Brittaney Mills (Chase), Coffee Springs, Chasitie Gilmore, Geneva, Chelsie Chancellor (active military duty), Cole Mock (Kristin), Samson, Cord Mock, Samson and Jeffrey Chancellor, Chancellor; six great-grandchildren: Trevor, Troy and Kyla Mock, Alex Gilmore, Jaxson and Judson Mills; a number of special nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
