WEBB. . .Johnny Ray Whatley, a resident of Webb, Alabama, died Friday, February 24, 2023, in a Dothan hospital. He was 64.
There are no funeral or memorial services planned at this time. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Whatley was born in Santa Barbara, California but lived in Webb most of his lifetime. He was retired as a truck driver from Conway Southern Express (CSE) in Dothan. Mr. Whatley was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Duarte Whatley and his father, Hershel James Whatley.
Surviving relatives include a daughter, Celeste Whatley Castro, Webb; two sons, Dominic Ray Whatley (Shannan), Dothan; and Michael Paul Whatley (Amber Denise), Savoy, Texas; his mother, Andrea McIntire, Holiday, FL; a sister Donna Stopay (Mike), Holiday, FL; and two brothers, Jimmy Whatley (Tammy), Eufaula; and Tony Whatley (Jeanette), Dothan; seven grandchildren, Melissa McDaniel, Shyanne Whatley, Alessia Castro, Colin Whatley, Gabriella Castro, Mia Whatley and Victor Castro; four great-grandchildren, Silas McDaniel, Wyatt McDaniel, Jacob McDaniel, and Christian McDaniel; a niece, Melissa Duarte Duran.
