JOLAINE S. CHANDLER
WEBB, AL… Jolaine S. Chandler, a resident of Webb, Alabama, passed away Friday, December 29, 2023, at her home. She was 72.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Headland, Alabama with Reverend Ray Cobb officiating. Family will receive friends following the service. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
The family is accepting flowers or contributions and may be made to the Webb Baptist Church, 310 Wallace Buie Road / PO Box 70, Webb, Alabama 36376, www.webbbaptist.com.
Mrs. Chandler was born in Dothan, Alabama to the late Joe Pruitt Shirah and Blondell Snellgrove Shirah. She has lived in Webb, Alabama her entire life. She was a graduate of Houston County High School. In her earlier years she worked at the Sony Corporation in Dothan, Alabama. She retired from the Houston County Board of Education as a school bus driver. She was a member of the Webb Baptist Church.
Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Dr. Joe M. “Mike” Shirah.
Leaving to cherish her memories is her husband of fifty-one years, Edgar Keith Chandler; her daughter Stephanie Whitaker (Mark); her sons, Brian Chandler (Sharon) and Joseph Chandler (Brenna); her sisters, Janet Owens (Calvin) and Joanne McInnes; her brother, Tommy Shirah (Diane); her grandchildren, David Chandler (Ali), Megan Chandler, Chandler Crawford (Michaia), Taylor Evans (Hunter), Georgianna Sims, Cody Chandler, Jacey Chandler, Eliza Chandler, Ella Chandler, Trent Anderson, Jon-Michael Anderson, and Jared Anderson; and her several nieces and nephews.
Serving as active pallbearers will be her grandsons and nephews.
