Joseph Albert Sanders, 50, a resident of Dothan, passed away Sunday March 20, 2016 at Miller County Hospital in Colquitt, GA after a lengthy illness.


Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2016 Sunset Memorial Park with Rev. Bobby Marks officiating.


Joe was born October 30, 1965 in Trenton, New Jersey and lived the early years of his life in Levittown, Pennsylvania. He was a 1983 graduate of Pennsbury High School and attended Technical School graduating at the top of his class as an electronic technician. He also attended school in Daytona, FL learning to be a motorcycle mechanic. He was an electrician in the construction industry for several years prior to his illness at KBR in Houston, TX, and IES in Louisiana and Danco in Dothan. He was preceded in death by his father, Robbie Sanders, Sr. and by his brother, Robbie Sanders, Jr.


Survivors include his mother and step-father, Rebecca DiSanto Eiker and Fred Eiker; brother, James (Jill) Sanders; niece and nephew, Melissa White and Jim Sanders, Jr.; 2 great-nephews, one great-niece, several cousins, aunts, and uncles also survive.


We, Joseph’s family, would like to give our thanks and gratitude to Dr. Bennett, and the staff at Miller County Nursing Home.
