Joseph Albert Sanders, 50, a resident of Dothan, passed away Sunday March 20, 2016 at Miller County Hospital in Colquitt, GA after a lengthy illness.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2016 Sunset Memorial Park with Rev. Bobby Marks officiating.
Joe was born October 30, 1965 in Trenton, New Jersey and lived the early years of his life in Levittown, Pennsylvania. He was a 1984 graduate of Pennsbury High School and attended Pennco Tech Technical School in Bristol, Pennsylvania, graduating at the top of his class as an electronic technician. He also attended the Motorcycle Mechanic Institute in Daytona, FL learning to be a motorcycle mechanic. He was an Electrical Journeyman in the construction industry for several years prior to his illness through KBR in Houston, Texas, IES in Louisiana, and Danco in Dothan. He was preceded in death by his father, Robbie Sanders, Sr. and by his brother, Robbie Sanders, Jr.
Survivors include his mother and step-father, Rebecca DiSanto Eiker and Fred Eiker; brother, James (Jill) Sanders; niece and nephew, Melissa White and Jim Sanders, Jr.; 2 great-nephews, one great-niece, several cousins, aunts, and uncles also survive.
